Siah Howard is a couture designer, educator, and creative director with an international career spanning Africa, the United States, Europe, and Asia. Her journey in fashion began in childhood, hand-sewing garments before the age of ten, and has since evolved into a career rooted in craftsmanship, storytelling, and technical mastery.
After surviving civil conflict in West Africa and later training and working in the global fashion industry, Siah founded Creaton House to address a critical gap in fashion education: the loss of making skills and atelier discipline. She believes craftsmanship is both a skill and a legacy — one that must be protected, taught, and passed on.
Through Creaton House, Siah is committed to building industry-relevant education that prepares students for sustainable, meaningful careers while honoring the traditions of couture, tailoring, and garment making.
We believe making is the foundation of fashion. Skill, precision, and mastery are non-negotiable.
Our programs reflect how fashion actually works — inside ateliers, workrooms, and tailoring houses.
We prioritize small cohorts, focused training, and long-term career outcomes over mass education.
We teach responsibility, respect for materials, and pride in workmanship.
With international faculty and campuses, we prepare students for careers anywhere in the world.
We are committed to preserving craftsmanship, supporting circular practices, and passing knowledge forward.
